Having grandparents/in-laws in Santa Barbara. I mean what a bummer to have to go HERE...
Of course it isn't hard, it's GREAT to go to Santa Barbara. Really, really great. Great place, great people.
If I can survive the stress of driving through LA (yuck!) we can arrive at the oasis of our alma mater in about 3 hours. And there to greet us with open arms, lots of attention, and a lovely home with a view, are Grandpa and Grandma. They have been in Santa Barbara about 9 years now and we love visiting. It is a place of retreat for us.
Last weekend was filled with relaxation, play, naps, outings to the harbor and the park, family time.
