It's "fall" here in San Diego and true to form, for the fourth straight year, my RSAD (reverse-seasonal-affective-disorder) is back. People keep telling me that the longer I live here the more I will adjust to San Diego "seasons" and that eventually I won't miss the cold as much this time of year. I just don't think so.
Here is what our "fall" weather looks like right now...
Today was nearly 90. Gross. Seriously.
I know my RSAD is coming on when I find myself longingly looking at the people on sidelines of football games who are bundled up in jackets...or when I choose Curious George episodes for my kids that involve SNOW...or when I feel acute jealously looking at people's Facebook posts of their families at pumpkin patches in areas where sweatshirts, jeans, and scarves are the necessary attire. I wore a tank top to the pumpkin patch with my kids last week and still came home sweaty. It's just so wrong.
Wah wah wah. It's just weather, I know.
Here is my RSAD explanation from last year...because I feel exactly the same way again this year.
Get cooler San Diego!
